Questions I ask for commission

I usually ask same questions to my clients so I decided to make a list. Here are the question I ask before making a sketch and give you any estimate price

    1) Full body portrait, half body portrait or close up portrait?

• Half body is from hips up and close up is from shoulder up

    2) Any additional characters?

•   You don't have to count for the people in the background (who are usually smaller scale, less detailed &/or blurred) since it's part of the BG. *E.g. Old man on the left--> Commission: Mustadio and Meliadoul 

    3) With background or no background?

• Plain (one colored BG)/ Designed (patterned BG or BG with logo) /Simple (few items only)/ Complex BG
• Any special items that I would need to design like vehicle, furniture, weapon, machinery, etc. in the picture? 

    3) Realistic or Anime style?

• My usual drawing styles are somewhat realistic (see most my recent commissions works)
• If you prefer my anime style drawing, here are some examples: Pick Me! or Request: Kasaka
• If you wanted me to draw certain anime/ game character, I can draw in that style instead of my own style (e.g. Commission: Luffy and Natsu)

    4) Which coloring style you prefer?

• Simple (no shade or cel-shade)/ Standard (textured or heavy layered style) /Special (extra detail, watercolor, or oil painting style)

    5) Pose for your character? 

• If you aren't too sure about the pose, We can come up with ideas together and I can make some sketches for you to see which you like better

    6) Character's body features? 

• I'd like to know any detail about your character such as....hair color & styles, skin tone, eye colors and more.

    8) Any references for your character?

• Please send me any references for your character such as drawing of your characters, models for your characters, etc. 
• If you have a specific model (actors, singer, models etc.) for facial features or body, I'd like to know.  

    9) Tell me about your character!

• Tell me his or her personality and any background stories or setting you want me to know about! This will make it easier for me to design your character.
